Did you use MDF for the console construction? Are the two separate portions: one for the front and one for the rear that butts up against the front?

Man... That looks good. Will you do mine? JK After you got your console made, what did you cover it with, and what did you do for padding. That thing looks like a factory console. Good job.

Thank you Carl .. Sure, but Arkansas is just a little to far for me to go or I would .. LOL

OK, so NO padding when my guy covered the actual console, I am not a big fan of the padding, takes away from the 'factory' look. Lucky for me I used to do a little wood work when I was younger and my father in law has a GREAT word working shop. If you finish the console perfectly with no screws, holes etc you can cover it without padding. My base was covered with the matched grain vinyl to my leather that was used for the lids/top front and rear. Adding the powder coated steel top (18g) also helps with the clean factory look.

Gary, you can see the console is split in the middle, when the sections were placed into the car they are bolted together and it's solid, does not move at all.
I chose to use pine, light and easy to work with. Easy to sand and round off corners for a nice edge

Absolutely stunning!! Those Recaros just look so kickass in there and the console is icing on the cake.
