Re-introducing myself with a new approach!

Hello guys! been a member here for a while but this time instead of approaching a situation undecided i rather start from ground zero before making a fool of myself. Name is Deonte from Maryland and i own my 1986 Monte Carlo SS, 355 sbc, 200-4r trans, 3 inch lowering springs, and a list of other mods. Pro touring has been a eye catcher to me for years and i had goals to achieve the look, being tied into drag racing and seeing how the different classes and rules raised the bar for my power level it kinda pushed me away. Now im currently very heavy into carshows and its beginning to be a bit of the same process each show, so i decided while im still in the show season i can learn the pro touring sport and then start a complete rebuild of the car mainly suspension and next season 2016 start testing and learn more hands on. Please excuse me being a newb to this but im very excited with my decision and thats why im here....TO STAY! if anyone have any additional info to lead me in the right direction from any angle please toss it at me. here are some pics of the car dont kill me because alot of changes will be made once the season is over

thanks alot sometimes i regret pulling it out. i see a few ideas but its just as expensive as drag racing

You should spend some time reading Lance's threads. He probably has the best sorted out suspension setup on that generation G-body of anyone on this forum with help from Ron Sutton.

You might want to get in contact with Douglas Lutes (SicMonte) on this forum. He has an 88 Monte Carlo SS that is set up for autocrossing and he only lives about 30 miles from you in Woodbine, MD. He might be able to offer some guidance on suspension mods to improve handling.
