      help 454 .070 bored

      Well I'm looking for a motor for my malibu
      Have a question I might buy a 454
      It's a short block .070 bored
      Is it worth my time and money it's fully rebuilt I can get it for 900$
      I want it for cruising and take it track once in awhile

      thats going to create a little more heat than normal so make sure your cooling system is up to par. i have a .070 over big block and it runs just fine, remember though if you have to replace anything like pistons or rings its all custom order and a bit pricey compared to off the shelf parts.

      0.070" is no big deal. Heck many are pushing older blocks to 0.100" over with no issues. The difference between 0.060" & 0.070" is only ten thousandths. If you cooling system won't cool 0.070" then it sure wouldn't cool 0.060".
      So as long as its not some of technology thin late blocks. Or stupid weak cooling system design.
      I cooled a built 402 with a 3 row rad and a electric fan off a Cavalier,,,,, so call me silly hut if you trust builder, decent price.
