does any one have a vapor lock solution ?

My BBC, electric fans, and mechanical fuel pump is showing signs of vapor lock when the engine gets hot. I have a 2" cowl hood but I guess the engine compartment still has too much heat in it. I'm told this is a common issue with BBC in a small engine compartment like a Camaro. I'm hoping someone has a solution.

      Thanks in adavance,

      Max

Mine did as well until I upgraded to an electric pump with a return line to recirculate the fuel and keep it cool.

Like above^^^^. Can I ask where your fuel lines are routed right now? If they are anywhere within 3 or 4 inches of your headers or collectors heat will be a problem. Routing the lines away from the exhaust is one solution.
Also, how is your carb mounted to the intake? Just one gasket, otherwise it is directly on the intake? if so a phenolic spacer will go a long way to keeping the float bowls cooler.

If it's really bad, you could install one of these:

Get a carb heat shield, and install a fuel filter for an air conditioned car. If you can't find one for a BB Camaro OEM style, look for a 68 Cadillac fuel filter. It goes between the fuel pump and carb, has a small return line back to the tank with a jet in the return line.

if you can't move the fuel line wrap it in heat sheild, as for the pump electric would eliminate a ton of heat soak into the fuel. also a carb spacer will help just stay away from the metal ones.
