69 Camaro - Installing lower molding on front windshield

Anyone with experience installing lower molding on front windshield? The paint on the car is exceptional and I would rather not scratch it during the installation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Rod

well iam sure you know the trim has to be screwed down with brackets first before you install the cowl.then it hast to slip under the trim. you could put some masking tape along the edge of cowl but if its a tight fit you will have a hard time getting tape from under trim. i would say have a buddy help you go slow and dont push it under trim to far so you dont have to pull it backwards.you could try putting some sort of heavy paper between cowl and trim. then pulling it out after its in place. i did mine by myself no tape or paper and i didnt scratch mine. i am sure someone that has done this more than me will way in. dont forget tape along the fenders
