      Vaporworks tank straps too short?

Installing my vaporworks on a 1970 camaro and the straps seem too short. I can't even get it wrapped around enough to get a nut started. They measure at 30". Does anyone know if this is right?

I don't know the right dimension, but do the straps ship straight? Sometimes a prebend is needed to fit the front and rear radius of the tank to get them to fit tight.

On a first gen you have to prebend them to right shape to get them started. I also use a transmission jack to push it up into place. That way I can get it on far enough to start the threads.

It's not even close, but I'll give it another shot. I know my standard ricks tank was a lot easier to get it going

Alright guys, tried my best with adjustment and bending the straps, about 1" away from even touching the carriage bolt. I have contacted the site vendor I bought it from.

Are you using the bolts that came with the tank? They might be shorter than the original factory bolts.

The stock bolt is about 1/4" longer, I would need about 1/2" to touch, but darn the straps would stretch that much to tighten without collapsing the tank?
