      1968 Camaro 10 bolt

My wonderful wife was kind enough to pick up a 68 Camaro I found online while I am deployed. I am still deployed and would like to confirm what rear is in the car while making her life as easy as possible. What I know is that it is an open diff, 3.08 10 bolt. Looks like a 8.5 not an original 8.2 ring gear rear. I hope so because that should be able to hold up to my goals.

Can any one help me confirm the back half of the car? I'm thinking 10 bolt 8.5" ring gear, mono leaf, and staggered shocks. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks, I have that picture and it's what makes me think it is an 8.5. Wish I could see it in person

Here's an 8.5. As you can see the ears at the bottom are more pronounced. It looks like you have an 8.2
