Procharger for BBC Chevelle with AC

**This question is also posted at Team Chevelle**

Bear with me guys, it has been a long
weekend filled with lots of rain and too much thinking on my part.

      I've
done a lot of research on TC and pro-touring, but still have some (dumb)
questions for someone much smarter than me to answer.

      First off, I have a
rather mild 454 .30 over. Mild F/T, cast crank, eagle rods, Forged speedpro
pistons, 2 bolt main block with FAST EFI. Rather low compression engine
      9:1

The car is a 72 Chevelle with original AC (Large AC box)

What I want to do is bolt on
      a D1SC procharger. Around 8lbs of boost.

My current FAST setup does not
support any boosted applications, but I was thinking of upgrading to the XFI
Sportsman ECU that is boost capable.

      I know a D1SC will fit under a
*functional* cowl hood and I know procharger makes a belt setup that uses the R4
compressor, but will this setup fit under my hood with the AC? Do I need an
intercooler? This is a street driven vehicle that also have p/s and hydroboost
so even less room to work with
      .

      Any advice or opinions are
      appreciated.
