Scat Procar rally seats in a 68 Camaro.

Is there anybody out that has put these seats in a first gen camaro. Scat Procar Rally seats with the adapters.
I was wondering how they were and do you like them?

We put them in a 69 recently. Everything worked out well I believe.. Some mods may be required to Scat's brackets to fit perfect but nothing too major. We've also put them in second gens. They're a good seat.

I used them in my 69 Firebird. They fit with no issues. They were very comfortable and a great seat for the money.

I have them in my 69. They fit well and look really nice in my opinion, almost stock looking.

I put them in my 67 Camaro. I had to shorten the height of the brackets. The brackets come with L shaped mounts and I cut them off so it had no riser and gained another inch of head clearance. Fits great now.

That was my concern, if they raised the seat height. How exactlydid you do it? Any welding required? Thanks for the info. TZ

Yes, there was welding required. I'm 6'1" and they were too tall w/o modification for my taste.

Great! I'm 5' 6" so it shouldn't be a problem even with my helmet on. Thanks.

Scat Procar rally seats in a 68 Camaro.

I have them in my 68 and they sat way too high. I had to cut and reweld the brackets. And I'm only 5'-7.

Checkout wedgebrackets.com they make seat brackets for pretty much any seat and application including this one. I have not used them but will be ordering this seat for my 68 Camaro and have talked to them. Check them out.
