starving for fuel?? check this out, Holley hydramat

This thing may just make things a whole lot easier and hopefully cheaper to convert to efi. No more need for expensive ss fuel tanks or cells, or pump set ups that still starve for fuel, looks like an inline pump will be enough.

I saw it in action at PRI. It does work. They tested it on a arca car and only drained 6 oz of fuel out of it when it quit running.

Does not create a restriction with a -12 line and a big pump.

Did they say how long before they'd be available? We'll be building my tank soon and this would be ideal.

This has FANTASTIC potential. My 92 Formula starves in corners at anything under 1/3 of a tank, no known fix. This might just do it . . .

It's intriguing. Unless it's part of a kit that puts the pump in the tank, it's not going to address the problem of inline pumps. Will be interesting to see where they take this. Fuel starvation hasnt been a problem, but it could solve the issue of very shallow OE tanks that the Aeromotive kit doesn't work in.

It looks like a great technology. But I'd like to see a proposed price and bounce it off the Edelbrock sump system mounted in the engine compartment.

Just curious, what are the problems with inline pumps?

Mixed signals to the ECU is the main one. When the pump is in the tank, it doesn't send weird feed signals. The ECU gets those it goes into safe mode till it figures it out. Noise and the pump running cooler are just side benefits.

That thing looks really cool. I hope they will make one to fit the Aeromotive 340 in tank pumps, maybe to replace the inlet sock

Noise and cooler i understand. How does the ecu get a bad signal if you use a external relay to power the pump and only have the ECU driving the relay?

The Hydramat(s) will be available soon. All the ARCA cars will be on the track in Daytona within the next few weeks. The mat being used by ARCA will be the only size available for initial release. However, there will be other sizes available in the future. I've not been told when, or what size mats will be available. When I get more information, I'll post up.
