      69' Camaro SS

      Greetings fellow enthusiasts.

I'm struggling with putting a fair price on my 69' SS and would really appreciate some thoughts and recommendations.

      Here are the details.

      Mechanicals 9/10:
18x9/19x10 Rushforth Night Train wheels (titanium smoke center with polished hoops)
      Hankook v12 Tires (new) 245/40 18 front, 275/35 19 rear
14" Front big brake kit with ZO6 Grand Sport six piston calipers.
13" Rear big brake kit with ZO6 Grand Sport four piston calipers.
Front tubular upper and lower control arms with QA1 coil over shocks
      Currie 9" rear end
      Caltrac traction system
      Heidts Rear sway bar
2" lowering rear leaf springs with QA1 shocks
383 stroker w/ dart pro jr. aluminum heads and comp cam roller cam (supercharger profile)
      Comp Cams rocker stud girdle
      Weiand 142 supercharger
Powerjection III fuel injection system w/ upgraded high pressure fuel delivery system (full return type)
Full length headers with welded O2 sensor bungs (for the fuel injection system)
Billet specialties Tru Trac serpentine drive system
      700R4 transmission
Painless wiring harness (car's full wiring has been upgraded. Blade fuse box)
      Hydrotech hydroboost brake system
      PSC Remote power steering reservoir
      Flaming river steering column
Flaming river rack and pinion conversion
Electric cooling fan with Painless wiring controller
      Heidts power steering adjustable valve
      Stainless steel gas tank
      DSE Wiper motor

      Paint 7.5/10 - Body 8.5/10:

LeMans Blue with hockey stripe (No rust issues). Minor paint chips, a couple very minor door dings, scratches, etc. Not show paint.
Anvil Carbon Fiber hood, header panel, front chin spoiler, cowl, rear deck lid and spoiler (original panels included in good condition)
Replaced floor pans (not by me. Looks like previous owner DIY)
Fesler billet front driving and rear tail lights
      Subframe connector
      New front/rear/door glass
Billet hood and trunk hinges with gas shocks
      Billet side marker lights
      Classic LED rear lights
      HID Front Headlights
DSE Closeout painted hot rod black satin
      DSE Wiper motor

      Interior 9.5/10:
      New dash pad
      New carpet
      Anvil carbon fiber door sills
Procar seats w/ matching rear seat covers (white)
Center console with armrest/compartment w/ double din radio
Pioneer double din head unit with Navigation and reverse camera (APPRADIO)
Focal separates front and MB Quart separates rear
      VHX carbon gages
      Billet steering wheel
Vintage gen IV A/C system w/ DSE controller
      Morris 3-piont seatbelts

There is more, just forgetting them at this moment.

Is $35-38K reasonable given the condition and parts?

The supercharged 383 is a beast! It could use some tuning to the PJIII for optimum performance. I am not that proficient with the software to tweak every bit of HP out of her. But she definitely gets the job done as is ;o).

The car has approx 2500 miles since rebuild.

If I were to keep her. New paint, LSx swap and mini-tub rear end would be on the list. That is it.

      Here are some recent pics.

      Hi John,

Nice Car! ;) I am no expert by any means but I am currently looking to buy a 69 Camaro and have lost count of how many I have looked at over the past few months (priced between $30 - $60k), one thing thats for sure is the lack of consistency in how these cars are priced!

But based on the photos and your detailed break down I think that $35-38K is a very reasonable and realistic price.

      Thank you Zappa.

You are spot on with your assessment of lack of consistency in pricing. I got into this hobby a long time ago and quickly realized that money spent does not = money recouped ;o).

Are you looking for a stock, restomod or all out pro touring first gen camaro?

Yep know that feeling, this is going to be car #27 for me :| which sounds ridiculous but not all of them have been muscle car or builds so isn't too bad..

This one is going to be my new daily driver so I was initially looking for a RestoMod, but have ended up looking at a few Pro-touring builds as well, and even a couple that I think sit somewhere in-between.
If your Camaro was running an LSx motor it would be spot on, but unfortunately the ridiculous import rules in Australia won't allow me to import it with the Supercharger .....yet I can import one with a 502 BB Ridiculous Rules!

I am seriously considering one at the moment which is a full nut and bolt re-build with a 502, its quite a mild build so should be ok to drive regularly, the only problem is that its in the mid $50k price range which is much more than I had hoped to spend, so I think I need to get a few opinions on the price before going too much further.

      Love the build
Now for pricing, I think a fair market would bring 26-28k retail
However you might get lucky and hold out for more.
The only problem I see is a person has so many choices in a 69 Camaro
      Any color and motor combo
So as a buyer if I'm patient I can get close to what it is I want
You definitely have some $$ in the build. You just have to find one guy who lives it
And who doesn't love the 69 Camaro?
      I would be interested
      Pete

Thank you for your thoughts guys!

      I hear ya Pete.

I have seen prices all over the place for the first gens.

My 70 TA is coming along nicely. Once done, I will choose one to keep. I'm leaning towards letting the 69' go.

You could part the car out for more then what some of the estimates of value have been posted.

You should get close to $40k usd
