      My Safety Budget Just Tripled

My buddy and I went on a parts run for his '69 C10 this afternoon. On the way back, we were involved in a head-on collision. A Honda Civic was driving on the wrong side of the road; my buddy swerved out of the way and the Honda swerved back in towards us and we hit head-on. Thankfully the air bags deployed and we were both wearing our seat belts. We both walked away sore but in one piece. Due to this event the budget for safety equipment on both my '63 Corvair and my '71 C10 just tripled. I plan to improve the beats in both immediately.

I hear u , I had recently worked on 2 1955 chevy pickups, 1 big block 5-speed conversion and the second one just changed the auto trans to a 5-speed , so I get both of them done and take them for test drives, not being in any older vehicles for quite some time, I realized that these older vehicles are nothing short of moving death traps ! U sit in one these and realize u are surrounded by nothing but steel and all kinds of glass ! No wonder so many people lost their life's way back then ! Old cars are sure nice to look at, but sure are not very safe in an accident ! Just my .02 cents ! Bye the way , sure glad u are ok

Glad you are ok. That is also why I'll never have seats without head rests.
