      What gauges are better electric or mechanical?

      I prefer electronic.. The only benefit is there are no sending units to go bad or wires to get shorted out... But I'll take that over a pinched, broken, or melted oil pressure gauge line!
      They're also cheaper, but that's because since they're simpler constructed.

      I prefer eletric. Check out speedhut. They have customizable GPS gagues. I will be putting them in my Cutlass when I get to the interior.

      Dakota digital stuff is also very nice.
      Installed a couple and have had really good results with both.

      Amen on Speedhut, don't have a set of my own but helped a bud install a set in his 62 Vette. they are fully customizable (is that a word), accurate, easy to setup, no extra crap to buy, but are pricey (as are all the other good ones).
