      Transmission 4L60E

      Question I have a 2001 silverado LT 2 wheel drive extend cab truck my tranny has went out I have a chance to buy a tranny out of a 2000 TAHOE with a 4.8 2wheel drive will that tranny fit in my truck?

      If your silverado is also an LS engine then it should work. Use your old torque converter though.

      LT is a model name not the engine, what size engine does it have?

      That trans should be a 4L60E. The only other trans GM offered on that truck back then would have been 4L80E and it wouldnt come on a 4.8.

      well the guy told me that it came out of a tahoe 2000 but its smaller than the one that came out my truck
