the generation before it was the pinnacle I think... this might be a better roadcar but the styling on the one before was MUCH better.

Car & Driver tested the GT at 0-60 at 4.6 sec. Motor-trend tested it at 4.4 sec. However, Motor-trend did say it was faster and a 1/4 mile of 12.8 sec. at 112.8 mph! Now they did test it on their figure 8 track and the 2015 was faster than the last Mustang Boss 302 they tested!

The performance upgrade is nice. It's the move towards generic brand styling that I don't understand. If they wanted a somewhat performance oriented car that looked like their typical family cruisers why don't they just broaden the police car platform into the broader market?

Really don't care for it. I HATE the blunt, too tall front end they implemented to meet European pedestrian injury laws. They need to do some drastic sectioning and pie cuts to make things proportional. Still trying to figure out the back, not sure about the taillights yet. The previous, 2014 body style looks very nice, IMO. I'll see some of them equipped just right and look at it and think, damn that looks good. Haven't seen a pic of the new one that makes me think that. Then those upswept headlights... terrible.

As far as numbers, from what I've read it's actually slower than the 2014 GT, at least in 1/4 mile times. Plus it's heavier, and MPG is getting worse, which is a massive fail when combined. I know MPG isn't the end all, but when everyone else is making more power, and better MPG's, it's become expected.

The spy pictures of the GT350 look better, but until its actually unveiled we don't know exactly how it looks. I'm curious to see if the flat-plane v8 is actually going to happen, that would be interesting to learn about

I don't mind the front end design, but the rear looks terrible with the tail light panel bulging out. Looks like it' swollen or something. Nothing about that styling suggests a performance car in my opinion.

The Manual is due any time, but the Build Date on the Auto keeps getting pushed back. We know of only one Auto being released so far - ?

We actually got an Auto last night. We found one that just arrived at a Dealer a couple of Counties away, and were able to transfer our Deal. It looks nice, not the color I would have picked, but nice. Pictures this afternoon!

I saw one at a track event last weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. Got to look it over well, can't say it's helped me warm up to it. The front end looks too tall and blunt. The taillights are very 3D, but I'm not sure if I like, or follow the look. I'd be curious what the aftermarket might do for that. Interior looked mostly nicer, except for the radio/center stack area, looked very flat to me.

I think Ford's problem is that they were aiming for the BMW crowd. That's a huge mistake, a Mustang is rarely cross shopped with the Euros. They needed to design to compete with it's only competition, the Camaro and Challenger. No matter what, it will always be those 3.
