      LS6 block only $100 opinions?

      Found this on Craigslist, he wants $100 for the block, $150 for the crank and $150 for pistons (0.010" over). One cylinder is out of round. What do you guys think?

      That's close to the scrap value for the block.

      Worst case is you have a mockup block if its junk for 100.00....

      Yeah that's what i was worried about it being to far out of round, yeah a mock up block would be nice but i dont have the space just yet.

      What's a good one worth?

      Thought about that, just don't have much machine shop knowledge. Would it still be as strong and cost effective?

      I also don't have much LS engine knowledge maybe this would be a cheap learning experience.

      As far as I know, a machine shop should be able to bore out the old sleeve and press in a new one, then bore it to match the others. If it works on a SBC, I don't see why it wouldn't on a LSx

      More money than it's worth. Even at $100 I would walk away.
