      DSE subframe and SBC

I just put in a DSE subframe and noticed that the holes with threaded inserts in the frame do not line up with my old stock SBC mounts. I assume the current holes are for LS motor mounts.

The website says you can use the stock SBC motor mounts on the frame...do they expect you to drill additional holes and install threaded inserts?

Maybe I'm missing something here. Any help is much appreciated.

My stock SBC mounts bolted to my DSE sub frame with no problem. Are you sure you have them on the correct sides?

My mounts aren't even close to lining up with the existing holes.

      I don't know...do 87-95 350 motors use a different mount?

      Ah ha!

Without having the old ones in front of me, I didn't notice how much more stretched out those AMD mounts are.

      Thanks Dale.

The frame stands that you have, where did they come from?

I have no idea. They were the stands bolted to my old frame.
