it drives and rides great. taking corners fast and aggressive stays low and level. cant say enough about it.
I also have a jeep cherokee steering box and a u joint style intermediate shaft. really tightens up the steering. i have factory style kyb shocks. i am shopping for 17" wheels and tires which got me to finally join this site.

Did a head and cam swap and installed sc&C front frame brace. Made a huge difference in steering input alone. Shopping for some varishocks now. I switched to hooker headers and am redoing the exhaust to 3" with cutouts and mufflers.

      Wow this needs an update.
      I've been Autocrossing Scca
Last weekend I went 13.2 @108 at the 1/4 mile.
While getting 18mph 133 miles from home.
I got 22 mpg on power tour this year with vintage air
I'm using Holly compressor mounts and sd7 compressor.
Still sorting out belt alignment. Not as bolt on as they say.Name: 3g7a8488.jpg

Car looks great. Agreed the SPC suspension is so good it makes you just forget how old the car is. The PMT kit looks like great value, how is the fit and finish?

Thank you. The pmt are pretty nice. I think now you have to add the frame brace. It was included in mine.
I did another sc&c suspension swap on a convertible this winter. It came with umi frame braces they were contoured to the floor better. I had to massage the floor pan to get mine to fit. Also it came with Currie lower arms and I think I only saved 100 bucks over the billet arms.
But I had to modify the driver's upper cuz it rubbed on the 12 bolt housing. My car has a quick performance 9inch.

I'm making the switch to afx spindles. It's an expensive upgrade but with the Autocrossing I do don't trust the tappered roller bearings

Nice ride.... Are you running the Holley brackets for the AC and the power steering? I have no alignment issues at all with mine running VA and SD7 compressor.
      Big dreams, small pockets....

I'm running all fbody accessories and the Holley compressor bracket. They sent me shims for the compressor that helped but the TENSIONER doesn't sit correct and I had to shim it to keep the belt from flying off.

450r, what a great looking car! Thanks for posting the autoX vidz, those are awesome and motivational(plus a great way to burn some of the company wifi lol). The moving shots of the rims look really nice, what tires are you running for Autocross? I've got some NT05's currently but they don't ever get hot enough to get sticky.

I've been contemplating Marc's (SC&C) front frame brace as well, but wondering if a more custom design would be more beneficial. And since I have a shiny new tig welder I'm looking for excuses. do you think it's a worthwhile addition? anyway, cool ride man, thanks for the at-work entertainment lol.

Thanks to Mark at SC&C for his honesty and passion for the sport, and Ron Sutton for the wealth of knowledge that has helped shape so many of the cars on this site.
