Selling my '71 Pro-touring Camaro, over $200k invested!

      Item Location (City/State): Austin/Tx
      Price:$169900.00
      Description: 1971 Camaro Pro- Touring
Guys, I'm selling my '71 Pro-Tour Camaro. It has 8 miles on it. I just drove it down the street about a week ago for a rolling shot for Camaro Performers. In short, it had everything in the DSE catalog underneath of it.
Eric@Griffith Metal Shaping built the car. He is a craftsman. He had over 2000 hrs in the build. The whole car was completely disassembled, blasted then reassembled. Everything was gapped and pinned before any body work was done. The bumpers were moved in about 1/2". The body work and paintwork was done by Custom Car Crafters. The body is lazer straight. Everything that was not painted silver has been painted hot rod black, including all inner fenders, inner doors ect.
LS7 dry sump motor, 6 speed, Stainless headers, full stainless custom exhaust, Aluminum radiator w/ dual spa fans, Fikse wheels, big Baer 6 piston Brakes front& rear, Super 100 series narrowed fuel tank, Recaro seats, Custom roll bar, front chassis stiffener, dynamat, vintage air/ heat, custom stereo, custom front kick panels with separates, custom subwoofer box, power windows, DSE lights, wipers, deep tubs, Quadralink, full front subframe, subframe connectors, led lights, Autometer gauges w/led lights, remote battery & battery tender.
I'm sure there is more that I have forgotten, but you get the idea of what has gone into this car. I have over $215k in it, as you can see. I don't drive it. I am going in another direction, so that's why I'm selling it. Weld, Rodger and Rob have personally seen this car and can vouch for it's build quality. If someone want's a turn key, "new car", this is it. Kyle said he could build one like this for about $250k and about a 2 year wait. It is on DSE website for sale also. I want someone to enjoy it.

May I ask, why invest so much money in a car to sell it so quickly at a loss?

I just have no need for it and I have other cars I'm spending more time with. It's been finished over a year and a half, just sitting on my lift at home.

Not that SW needs another voice of support, but I have seen this car and know the builder (Eric) well since he's done most of the work on my car too. Whomever gets this car is getting one da#$ed nice ride! I realize that people can easily look at the price that SW is asking and think "That's nuts, why would someone pay that?" Well, once you see the quality and detail in this car, you would understand...

      Good luck with the sale!

DSE didn't build this particular car... It was built by Griffith Metal Shaping, although he didn't paint it. I imagine Eric would know the paint color though.

Perhaps this link would also help:

I saw this car in March, and the current owner had replaced the engine with a supercharged setup. He was also running drag radials on the rear, and a couple of other small mods. If someone bought it for $125, know the builder and the car, they got a good deal.
