      plastic intake manifolds

Does anyone know for sure what material is used in making the plastic intake manifolds like those from Fast,Air Flow Research and GM? I would like to use that same material for an industrial application.

      plastic intake manifolds

LS1 manifolds are made of nylon 66, pretty common plastic material.
Not sure if the other brands are made of the same stuff..

Dupont Nylon 66 is also used in radiator tanks, housings, even water pumps. Been around for decades and used in MANY applicationswhere it should NEVER have been, like radiator tanks using a organic acid technology (2EHA) for rust/corrosion inhibition like found in dexcool. That is a plasticizer and under heat and pressure it attacks plastic. Honestly I would look at many choices before using N 66. But thats me.
