Frank did not say anything about using a rubber trans mount with CV joints. What Frank did say was that the rubber trans mount might reduce the vibration and that I likely did not need CV joints.

      Andrew,
What has been your experience with thus drive shaft? I have a 70 chevelle with an ls motor 4l80e and the trans tail shaft sits 4* down. The pinion is at 0* so the drive shaft points up to the pinion. I have a vibration at high torque. I am running 850 hp so my question is will the cv joint hold up under this type of hp.

My car doesn't make enough power to really stress this type of driveshaft. However, my buddy TJ runs one in his Chevelle....

TJ uses an aluminum shaft and so far no issues. The car is 3590 pounds, runs 9.60s @ 140 mph and pulls 1.4x 60 foot times...

I want my 1970 Camaro to stop vibrating. I'm thinking about the pinion angle, but I'm also thinking about the shaft problem. There is a limit to the thickness of the shaft due to the rear suspension equipped with a speed tech torque arm. I need your advice.
