Hard line adapter for fuel injection

I have been using the tube nut sleeves for most of my fuel system but am thinking of using a ferrel style adapter on one fitting to avoid using a union. I know they are not designed for FI but do you guys think they would work for one connection? Or should I just use a tube and sleeve with a union? Here is a picture of the fitting I want to use.

      I don't see a picture.. ?
Are you referring to like a compression type fitting that can be used on a "blank" tube?

I've used them on fuel rails before and they've held up just fine!
