Welcome to the forum Tom. The car looks great so far! What do you have planned for the suspension?

      Thanks BMR
      For suspension
I presently have UMI tubular front uppers with 1/2" taller ball joint & UMI lowers with 550# DA Viking coilovers adjusted for a 2" drop.
Hotchkiss BB 2" drop rear springs with QA-1's
Hellwig front 1 5/16 tubular bar, 7/8 solid GM rear bar
Rear control upper arms are Old Edlelbrock roto style upper adjustables with stock replacement bushings in the diff ears, supported by stiffing braces.
Rear lower arms are still Dragstrip type Lakewood tubular arms relocating instant center lower.

I'm open to suggestions on how to improve

Yep. That there is a sweet ride.

What's that hood scoop, I'm not familiar with it, is it a Buick thing or aftermarket?

Buick Released an over the counter Stage 2 package with special heads, aluminum intake, Holley and headers and also came up with a stage 2 scoop for their few factory sponsered strip cars. (I think around 3 cars were factory scooped). On the strip it was was good for another tenth. Mine is a reproduction some of it.

I do have the standard GS hood and will probably interchange it from time to time depending on the intake, carb and air cleaner. The stage 2 allows the use of a higher x intake and dominator carb combo as is presently on the car.

      Some other Pics:

Great looking Buick! I love the blue pearl with gunmetal wheels, but I have a soft spot for GM A-bodies.

Just found this thread, enjoyed reading it...
Got some good ideas from it....
Mine is a '70 GS455, originally set up for drag racing,
I'm changing that, and it needs a whole lot of work.
      I'll get there eventually....

Will start a thread when I get something done worth posting...

Beautiful car. did you have any issues with the rear tires rubbing with that setup?
