      Compression ratios

I am redoing a SBC 327 bored 30 over and picked up a set of TRW L2165 pistons. I'm trying to determine the compression ratio using 60cc heads. Can anybody help me out?

Sure ... I'll be happy to run the calcs for you ... but I don't want to do your research for you.

      We'll need info:

      1. Get the bore diameter & compressed thickness of the gasket you plan to run.
      2. Either get the CC's of the piston dish, dome and/or valve reliefs from the TRW or CC them.
      3. Determine the piston to deck clearance
      4. Confirm the combustion chambers are truly 60cc
      5. We already know the bore is 4.030" & the stroke is 3.25". Just confirm there are no changes.

With those numbers, we can calculate your true static compression ratio pretty accurately. I'll show how to do it to, for other guys to do their own.
