I believe it had a lot to do with your angled extension. The master needs a straight rod to work right. You can even change the angle of the rod in relation to the master few degrees and it won't wear out like that.

How is your pedal pressure now? What is your master bore size?

Will be keeping an eye on this thread. I really like that last bracket and looking forward to the feedback and a link. As I am going to be fitting a t56 into a 67 elky, this could be beneficial.

      Thanks, Chris

We will see how that bracket works. It was designed for a Camaro but happens to fit a chevelle booster flange. Lets see if we can get the ratios and piston sizes right. I'll be working with Wayard to see if we can get a system that works and a soft pedal.
Im not a vendor here so i can't say much more on that.

The main problem with the Abodies is the pedal and getting the right throw from it. Im working on that too.

I had same problem, I found out that the master sylinder and the pushrod all has to be in line, even if it is on an angle it all has to push straight and with that fabricated angled pushrod you have it will be causing down pressure on the bore and be damaging it.

Was anyone able to verify the proper alignment with clutch pedal and the Meanstreet bracket for A body use? It looks like the best option for brackets I have seen unless I am missing some from my searches.

We build an A-Body specific hydraulics kit if you're interested.https://www.bowlertransmissions.com/...let-reservoir/ That is an example of what we have. There are some options for plastic versus billet reservoir that will alter the price some. Let me know if you have any questions.

I wouldn't think anything weird about it at all! I like it when a plan comes together. Besides after something bugs you for a while it's good to see something finally working.

Has there been any progress made on this front? Did the mean street bracket work for anyone with an a body? My ebay bracket that looks like the Bowler one posted earlier completely sucks.

Mean Street's website doesn't work so I'm not sure if they still make theirs or not, but these look like the options for now. Hard to find much info from people who have actually used one (esp w/ hydroboost).

Silver sport makes this, which looks interesting but is pricey though it appears to come with everything https://shiftsst.com/store/hydraulic...ulics-kit.html

American Powertrain makes these, which you can also buy on ebay (meaning you can probably save $20 pretty easily w/ coupon) http://americanpowertrain.com/c-3140...ystems-gm.html

Then there is another Bowler that says it's for 67-72, which seems odd because some other places split the 67 and down from 68 and up. https://www.bowlertransmissions.com/...kit-gma-68-72/

I had been thinking about making one of these myself, looks like a good way to pretty much ensure the angles stay right throughout pedal travel https://www.bowlertransmissions.com/...er-kit-billet/

Of these the options the cheapest is just getting the bowler bracket and using a stock master, which might be the way to go since I don't want to pull my trans and do a whole new master/slave if I don't have to.

Edit- It looks like you can duplicate the American Powertrain kit - but with a quick disconnect - for $370. With ebay bucks or a coupon you could knock that down to $330ish.

after 10k miles mine started leaking from the boot. Looks like i need to pull it and replace it. While im at it i might get with a different bore for easier foot pressure. Im currently using stock ls7 clutch with my ls3 and t56. Any size recommendations?

Just ordered the Bowler stuff. Craig - I'm guessing the one who posts here - answers emails quickly and answered the phone when I called with questions so that (and the forum discount) sold me. On the phone they were able to take out the the braided line since I already have one, and I opted for the longer-travel of the two bore options (car is mostly street by far and current setup is like an on/off switch). I also came across this video which made me not want to mess with the Hydramax stuff. It looks doable, but I'm past the point of wanting to mess with things to make them fit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKIOE5fl2jo

I also have some stock pedals in the garage, so when I get home in a few days I'll post updates of how this works out. Considering even an off-brand stock-style is master can be close to $100 paying a few bucks more for something better seems like a no brainer.

Well I got everything in and for whatever reason the master rod is nowhere near long enough to work with the stock pedal that is suggested. Even fully extended it's way short. To get it on you'd have to put the pedal against the firewall which obviously won't do. The pedals are used now so no way to return them, so that's money wasted. Fortunately I had that McLeod pedal, which seems to work ok with the mod to it I had made previously. No clue why the Bowler is said to work with the stock pedal; in my case there is zero chance it'll work, I wonder if it's because I got the longer-throw master? Hopefully will find out more when Bowler opens on Monday.

Edit - this is the supposedly stock pedal I got from Summit, maybe it looks like a real stock one, maybe not, I dunno. Either way it doesn't work, so don't use it. What I ended up doing is drilling a new hole in the tab I welded onto my McLeod pedal 1/4" from the old one and now it works great.

Left is the McLeod before I drilled the extra hole compared to the "stock", right is the repro. No way in hell the MC rod would reach that, at least not in my case. McLeod bracket is really nice, I'd use it again.
