      ls1 painting.

What are you guys doing about using a used engine that just doesn't shine. we have a 20,000 mile LS1 we are installing in my son's T/A. The engine just looks kinda flat the aluminum just looks kind of tarnished. Was thinking about painting the block and pan Pontiac blue and then the heads a silver to give it a fresh look. What are you guys doing? Everything else in the engine compartment is fresh paint or powder coating.

My LQ9 was pretty dirty when I bought it. I degreased and power washed it. Primed everything with Duplicolor Engine Enamel Primer. Then I painted the valve covers and valley plate with Duplicolor Engine Enamel Aluminum, and the engine block, water pump and timing chain cover with Duplicolor Engine Enamel Red. (the heads are new)
