How Many 64-72 El Camino/Chevelle Owners Here?

What's everyone own or building these days? I'm working on a 1970 El Camino restomod that I'll be gradually adding protourer bits, as the budget will allow. Just bought a new set of Nitto NT555 g2's in 255/35/18 and 305/30/20 sizing and hope to have them on the car, next week. Front suspension is pretty solid but stock so better parts are next on the agenda. (tubular a-arms,taller ball joints, shocks, and springs)

Post a pic of the back of your frame with the 9" installed. What wheel and tire combo does your car have?
I saw a photo of it on the TC site. My handle is Clint44 over there.

Glad to hear it,Ryan. There were quite a few here, when I practically lived here on the site, about ten years ago.

Sounds like a killer 70 SS you're building.

Wheels on it are some BMW rollers until I finish it...

I have a 64 El Camino that will probably be the next project after the Corvair. I have a 85 Corvette to donate its everything for the 64 shell.
I am missing a hood. If anyone in the sacramento or sfbay area has one for a 64, I'd like to borrow it to make a fiberglass mold from it,
in exchange I can make you a fiberglass hood, or if your steel one needs a little work I will make it perfect and paint it before making the mold,
so you will get it back perfect and painted (at least the top ;).

Sounds like a killer project, Steve. If you don't mind me asking, what did those space-saver spares come off of?

I got the spares at pick n pull. the backs are from S-series truck/van and the fronts are from f-body cars. Had to walk the yard for a while to find the f-body wheels, but the S10 wheels were easy.
