    Default A-body frame modifications

I watched the shwartz chassis video http://184.154.165.50/~schwartz/vide...wartz-chassis/ about the frame twist or would you call it torsional rigidity?

Boxing the frame seems to be the most budget minded way of stiffening things up. I was wondering if they make a kit or what other have done to modify their frames for A or G body cars?

Convertible frames are already boxed. Late 60s GTOs had a heavy duty frame option which was a convertible frame under a coupe body. It also used all the convertible body mounts (which is more than the coupe). This is on my list of things to do.

The El Camino guys are ahead of the game as their frames are boxed.

The braces that re-enforce the rear lower control arm mounts do stiffen the frame up and they are cheap.

More than this and I think you need to break out the welder.

HPI makes a pretty sweet kit for $600

Here is a build thread with a bunch of pictures of the kit installed.

the HPI kit looks really nice. I sent them some emails a while back, but its not in my budget right now.
