"Green" 70 chevelle project
well ive owned her for 10 years and with little money and alot of D.I.Y. and help from family and friends im pretty excited because its getting so close...... though they never are truly done. Heres some pics starting from when i bought it till now.
how i bought her except for the wheels

the tear down

replaced both quarters, wheelhouses, rear deck panel and rear body panel

mounted on the rotiserie my dad built himself, we had to change the frame after finding bad rust then found some bad floor braces and body mount areas

the 468 bigblock being built by my pops

motor all finished

12 bolt rear eaton posi 3:42 and LS1 disks

back on the new frame, full global west suspension, 17s, motor & trans in, all body panels test fit

after more body work and my girlfriend paint the centerlines a satin charcoal grey

now blown apart again getting cut in by my girl

unmasked waiting for the doors and fenders before i can put her together again for the final paint

the pictures do the color and paint work no justice it is the orginal color of green mist metallic with a custom green pearl overtop
if we ever get sun again hopefully i can get some better pics or we'll have to wait till shes fully painted which i can only hope is soon!
thanks for checkin out my project and ill add more pics as i go.

Nice. Good progress. What are you doing for suspension? Did the ls brake set up bolt in?

Finally got it painted!!!
sorry its been a while ran into a few minor setbacks to answer some quick questions
1badchevelle: it has a full global west front and rear setup with QA1 coilovers up front and QA1 adjustable shocks out back/ the LS brakes werent to bad i dont fully remember but i knnow we had to shim the calipers out to center over the rotors and i still havent messed with hooking up e-brake cables yet.
hechtrod: its a fully built turbo 400 for now, till my money tree starts growing leaves again then im looking 6spd.
nitrovette: thanks man i love the green mist, what most made me want to go back to it was that so many people told me they hated it...... but i think i might change some minds with the slight twist we put on it.
Boyd: yes she is a painter, and yes i am lucky! thank you.
thanks for the rest of the comments guys. now for some pics

paint pics!
Finally painted after owning her for 10 years, Green mist metallic with a custom green pearl overtop
prep'd and ready to go

girlfriend laying down the green mist metallic base coat

all finished sitting outside the shop this morning

unloading her back at my house
the pearl doesnt show much because we have no sun once again, hopefully i can get some sunny pics soon. Next step is wet sand and buff then get her reasembled (thank god for factory assembly manuals). hope you enjoy the pics, im off to the garage for a beer and stare at the 'velle.
