Below you can follow some of the progress that we have done in the past 5 weeks on our Power Tour car for this year. It is a 1965 Olds F85 with a 455 and a T56.

Great wheel choice! Don't know what they are or who makes them, but they look perfect for the body style!

Very cool car. I really like the '66/'67 Olds. That's a really unique pt car.

How did you manage to get the T56 to bolt up to the 455? What modifications are you going to have to make to get it to fit? What, if any, modifications did you make to the T56 itself to be able to handle the torque of the 455?

The reason I ask is I'm putting a 455 in my '68 which should put out about 540 ft.-lbs. I'm planning on using a TKO600 to handle the torque. You're the first I've seen to be able to put a T56 behind an Olds.

The bellhousing is a Mcleod unit, the hydrolics were originaly from ATS and have been modified a little bit to fit the A-body better (originally designed for an F-body). As for the T56 itself, it is a RS Gear unit that came from ATS, and is rated @ 750ft/lb. In order to put this giant trans in there we completly cut the tunel out and shaped a new one out of 16ga steel in our slip roll. It is not only wider but much taller to get the trans up in the car high enough so nothing is hanging down below the frame. The car is coming along really well and should be a nice change up from PT Camaros on power tour. I will try and get a few more photos of the engine and trans set up for you guys.

We painted it using GM Recon paint. I love the finish that this paint gives. Too bad GM doesn't sell it anymore..

'65 Olds is one of those really great cars that gets overlooked. I love the body lines on them. Great project and a great idea. Can't wait to see it finished.
