LOL I still working at it,,,,, the cost is still to high so far to justify a limited run of the rims...

That said we're looking into options in materials for the center sections of the three piece rims that include playing with an aluminum core Carbon Fiber encapsulated center for the wheel that could keep production here in the USA,,,, not to mention it would create a seriously light rim option that maintains the look.... I may try this rim construction process on my new 73 TA custom build "WarPath" that will debut at "the Face off in the Flat Lands" in late April of 2010...

Also as a second option I personally head to China in March with a friend to see if I can bring the cost of the center section down as it is killing the project currently .... That said I'd really prefer not to manufacture in China if an affordable US option exists....

Just so everyone understands the challenge I'm facing is, prior to doing anything the wheel center section has a raw material cost of roughly $600CDN..... Add 30hrs of CNC time on the face of the center, CNC the reverse side, polish, and add rim bands and you very quickly at arrive at a market price (for most owners) of unattainium LOL....

I'll keep working the project and hopefully get a manufacturing process that will make the rim more affordable,,,, If not it'll be a custom 3 peice wheel by special order for seriously retarded souls like me ROFLMAO....

FYI - Year One has both the Snowflake and the Honeycomb. Email them or give them a call. I've seen both in person and the Honeycomb they have on their '73 T/A will blow your mind they look sooooo sweet it make me want a T/A just so that I can buy those wheels.

Sorry, I disagree on the honeycombs that YO has. They look out of proportion to me and are so expensive I can't afford them. At least the ones TAZ made look like a normal honeycomb.

The snowflakes they made are great. Of course they are a cast wheel and come from off shore so the cost on those is low. I know they've sold a ton of those wheels and I can see why. Low price and they look great without weighing a ton. Thumbs up on those.
