Has anybody ever been involved in setting up a raffle? We have a car on the lot that we "dressed up" last year well the car is still sitting on our lot. I came up with the idea of raffling off the car, making 5000 raffles tix and selling them for $10.00 ea. Its a 2007 Charger R/T dressed up to the max. custom paint, 22" wheels, lowered, etc.. with 7k miles ( we used it for advertisment and car shows) just to give you an idea of the prize
My questions:

Is there companys that do this kinda stuff?
if not do we allow?
employees to purchase tickets? or
allow employee family memeber to buy tickets?

Do you guys have any ideas on how to do this?

In CA, only charities can do raffles, and it looks like the rules in AZ are pretty similar, see - http://www.azag.gov/consumer/Statutes.pdf (scroll to page 3)

Depending on the tax deductions though, donating the car outright to one of the larger Phoenix charities could give you a ton of advertising.

It might be better just to put the car up for sale at a better price (e.g. one that gets it off the lot), and call it a day.

ya we lookd at those laws and our lawyer is checking into it. we just have been really slow at work and were tryin to think up of ways to get some people to come. we also help a local charity and were planning on donating some of money that we make after covering our cost of doin this to them.
