I was just trying to find out if there had been any plans made for the Turkey Run this year. I want to have my car running for it and wanted to check to see if there would be a group going like last year.

Me too!, LOL! One of the things we are working out. It is difficult to find a place to handle 30 to 50 cars, hold off spaces and be ready for a rush. That place was perfect for that, so it may be back again

I hope they dont mess up the food orders again:pat: . I dont have a problem with that place, it was a nice little drive and the food was pretty good.

Just a bunch of us hanging out together at the Turkey Run in Daytona. We get club parking, do a little cruise, dinner. We do Friday and Saturday at the show, but I will run over Weds and Thursday mornings to get parking passes to early arrivals doing all days.
Looks like we are doing a big cookout this year instead of the resturant, just waiting for the contract for the pavilion to come back and then we will make post details.

To add to what Frank said, he failed to mention it is the Week of Thanksgiving, thus, Turkey Rod Run, Turkey Run, Turkey Tour.
Some of the best deals are found on Thanksgiving. Gives us something to do other than eat that day.

Wish I could go this year, but with the little one and the fact that they moved the Clemson-Carolina game to the Saturday after Thanksgiving means that I'll be going to Clemson this year. Next year it's at Carolina so hopefully by then my car will be done in time for me to drive it to Daytona. Ya'll have fun down there!

The sign up sheet should post later today. Prodigy Customs has reserved 50 club parking spots (same awesome spot as last year), and have paid the club parking fees. You will only have to pay your regular Turkey Run admissions fee. The official "Turkey Tour" meet days for our group are Friday Nov 23 and Saturday Nov 24, however, I know many early birds may come in Thursday. I will ride over to Daytona Thursday morning to give parking passes to any early birds, but will not be staying Thursday at the show ourselves. You will still park in the club spots. We will meet in the mornings for breakfast like last year, (location information to come soon) get our parking passes and cruise to the track. We will meet for breakfast both Friday and Saturday morning, and I will try to be on time this year, LOL!
The cruise on Saturday will be a lot shorter this year, but should be pretty neat. We have rented the pavilion at Tomoka State Park http://www.floridastateparks.org/tomoka/
and have a caterer set up to do BBQ. Good southern BBQ will only be $7 a plate. We have the Pavilion all day, we will officially cruise over at 3:00, but you are welcome to go over anytime earlier if you like. The Park is pretty cool especially if you have the kids. Dinner will be ready at 4:00, we have the pavilion until dark. GP SuperStore will be covering the $4 per car entry fee to the park. So you just show the guard you Prodigy Customs window sticker, and your in. We will be setting up a lot of door prizes this year, hopefully giving away some cool stuff. And I am working on possibly some "games"
I will post a link to the sign up sheet as soon as we get it posted. If anyone has questions, ask them here. Also, lets sound off if you are coming. Really looking forward to it.

Sorry to hear about your family's loss Frank. I won't be going down there this year. They moved the Clemson/Carolina game to the Saturday after Thanksgiving because of the 12 game schedule. Next year will be a tough decision as my car should be done but it will be a home game for the Tigers.
I will have some friends of mine making the trip. They left this morning. Be on the lookout for a blue '69 Camaro w/silver stripes and a nitous bottle for an armrest, either a pro-street black '69 Camaro w/ neon orange flames or a black Nova w/neon green glames and a just finished copper colored '86 Pro-street Monte Carlo with a blown alchohol small-block with the biggest hat you've ever seen. It is 18% over-driven and sounds nasty. I hope he brings it all the way to the gate on a trailer, because I would feel sorry for whoever is stuck next to it in traffic. They'll be crying from the fumes all the way home.

Yeah I hope next year we can be back to normal. Friday I spent walking and hanging out with my girl friends family(I have been helping put her dad's car back in running order). Saturday I was beat from all the walking on Firday so I sat in the car coral with my dad helping him sell his truck. Sorry I didnt get to hang out with anyone.
Oh yeah and sorry Frank! When I'm in the swap meet I'm a man on a mission. I'm thinking I might make a visit to see you guys in O-town in a few weeks. Gotta see Parson's Nova and want to come check out you guys shop.

Yeah there were tons of dreamers this year. I think all the people are watching the auctions on TV and thinking their junk in the garage is worth the same thing.
I hated missing it this year. I've been the last 5-6. Maybe next year the rules will change at my work.
