Just a couple hours ago , a friend of mine ( JOHN WILEZINSKI ) was driving down the road about a mile from his home and a Extreamly large tree just fell square on the car , Crushing John.

He was air lifted to FT Wayne IN and is in Serious Critical condition !

John is a outstanding paint and body guy and just a plain good guy.

All your support would greatly be appriciated !

I will definately pray for him.

I have seen this before and want to encourage others to help stop this dilema that has been on going for a bunch of years. There was a tree in front of the property that I used to live on that was a major traffic route and they had cut a tree out of the way of the power lines leaving only a branch that hung out over the road. I told the wife that they should have cut down the whole tree but the people in our area think that it is wrong to cut down any tree so they only take out the part that is in the wires. I told her that one day it will fall in the road and someone will run into it in a storm. Well it came down and killed someone just like this accident, right on a car. The tree was unsightly after it was cut back and anyone in there right mind would have cut it all of the way down. The problem is still ongoing and the trees are still being cut back just the same out of the wires because of the same group of people who won't let them cut down the trees that are a danger. The guys who cut down the trees just do what they are told but they see the problem and understand. They actuall passed a tree cutting ordinance in our area that would make you a criminal if you cut down atree without a permit. The ordinance was repealed when it became to much paper work for the county and people complained about the cost along with what do you consider a real tree or a scrub that was a problem and a neighbor who didn't like you and turned you in for making your property the way you want it.
I am a conservationist at heart and have planted hundreds of trees in my life and can't understand why the department of forestry and wildlife doesn't intervene and do something. If we could get these people to understand that if it means so much to them to save a tree that maybe they should stop complaining and worrying over it all and go plant some in a safe place and realize that everyday a new tree starts to grow somewhere, afterall that is what squirrels and mother nature do best.
Hopefully talking about this with others will help this from happenning to someone else. I am not certain if the tree in question was trimmed like I am talking about but I suspect it was and if it wasn't it was still more than likely visibly bad of age or disease and this accident could have been prevented.

Again I am sorry to hear about this accident and my thoughts are with him and his friends and family.

Take a drive through a new subdivision. Where does everyone plant their new oak or maple tree? You guessed it! Right under the power wires!:slap: . I agree with Jim, this accident probably could have been prevented.
Here's hoping for the best for John and his family.

Life is like that... There was a quadriplegic (sp?) in my parent's neighborhood. He got that way one morning when he went to go down to the basement to get the laundry and fell down the stairs and hit the pole that holds up the central beam of the house. He wasn't drunk, high, or even running, just fell. Life is like that, we forget how fragile it really is.

Your friend will be in our prayers, I hope all goes well.

Last year a tree fell on my street as a guy in an suv drove under, so close that branhes broke his windshield as it fell over him. The ground shook a block away.My wife thought he spilled coffee and stained his trousers, i thought he wizzed himself.Talk about close.

I hope your buddy is ok, we are all pulling for him.
