Story

I bought this car in 98 as a driver, it looked pretty good on the outside, all stock and complete, but was pretty shabby underneath the cheap paint job. I had to replace the trunk floor, drivers side front and pass. rear floor as well. also the frame mounts were rusted all the way through. it looked like it was in a flood, and never cleaned off underneath. There was sandy dirt packed between the frame and the floor., and on top of the trans, and rear end. I patched up the frame, threw on a Carter 600, and a Weiand Stealth intake, and drove it for 4 years that way. I had seen Mark Steilows cars in magazines, and always wanted to build a solid handling fast street car with all the performance of a modern "hotrod" , but the style and uniqueness of a classic car. After saving up for a while, I purchased the Chassisworks frame, and the '94 LT1/T56, in 2001. and started tearing down the stocker to upgrade it to the "Rode Hugger". As anyone who has started a big project like this knows, it started to snowball, now all that's left of the original car I drove to my buddies garage to work on 18 months ago, is the body, and even some of that got cut away during the mini tub job. It is a lot of fun doing the work myself, and I've learned a lot in the process. I cant wait to get out there and see what it can do.
