| Goodguys Del Mar Nationals March 31-April 2, 2006. | |||
|
It was a cold and wet Saturday morning heading down to Del Mar. Susan and I hopped in the truck and were met with rain, wrecks, furniture and tons of traffic on the freeway. With that and my poor map reading which gave us a nice tour of Newport Beach we got there pretty late. Once we finally arrived we were met by Rick of Rick's Stainless Tanks and the weather could not have been much nicer. Once inside we ran around to check out all the cool cars, parts and got to meet a bunch of great people. This was our second Goodguys event and I really enjoyed it. Next time I hope to get there a little sooner and grab a prime seat to watch all the cars cruise by. Susan and I got to meet several member of the site and a bunch of our sponsors. It's amazing the work that goes into traveling around the country to be at all these shows. You can bet caffeine plays a large part in getting to all the events. |

| Detroit Speed & Engineering was also there showing off some of it's new products. The new billet hood hinges are just incredible. I so need a set of these for my '68. The pictures you may have seen of them don't do them justice. They also brought along a QUADRA-LINK 4-Link rear suspension. Check out Super Chevy Magazine for a complete 3 part install with before and after performance numbers. I also love the new DSE Electric RS Headlight Kit. You can even watch a video of them in action at www.detroitspeed.com | |||
