I just locked on my reservation at the Boyd Lake State Park to camp out for the event. I'll be in Lot 108 if anyone wants to be my neighbor!

I'll be there for All American Sunday, showing, and I plan on running the autocross too if the my tires show up in enough time to be legal.

If you see me come say hi.

Boyd Lake is fun! Had some killer parties out there before all the rich people built houses on our lil spot :) I'm just down the road in Windsor, and run a shop in Fort Collins, holler if you need something.

Quick question for any one that has done the GG autocross. Do I have to remove the center caps from my wheels?

No, just pass a basic tech, seats and belts bolted in tight, radiator overflow bottle,.......etc

Well ran the auto cross today. had a blast. however my tires show that I need better if I want to keep playing. Too bad I have to work tomorrow. FYI: to those who saw my runs today. my sticker is still on. LOL

BTW: Tim, loved the car, seemed to be running good times.

Brandon, what kind of show do you have???

Well SHOW... I parked in the grass for 20 minutes until I found out from someone in the "know" that I needed to be parking in at the autocross area. I'm guessing that is what you meant? :)

Were you there Sunday. I thought I saw a big wagon in there when I first pulled in, but didn't see it again.

I had a freaking blast out there on Sunday and turns out the car performed pretty well. Had to keep those boys in their ZL1's on their game. I'm excited for next year, or any other autocross in the area now.

Brandon, looks like you finished 8th in class with your 47 second run. Not bad.

So Dan, why aren't you considered a Pro entry? I thought your association with Hotchkis automatically put you in that class.

It wasn't bad! First time on an autocross course in 13 years! Had a writer from LSXTV.com riding shotgun in that ride... I blame her squealing as for my lower time haha!

Yeah I guess I must have been confused on how the times were gonna be counted. I they had said our last runs were going to be only ones counted, then we had fun runs... guess my "fun" run counted, letting some of the other SS cars slip by me. Had a 47.229 the run before.

All in all... That was FUN! I have some adjustments I'm going to make and hopefully get some more seat time in an auotcross setting and see if I can get better :)

Wow, that was fun. I have spend a lot of time in northern Co. and I always love it. There should be a mandatory cruise route through Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park and back down through Lyons. - Just my 2 cents. Met some really cool people at this event. If you haven't been, put this one on your list.

If you saw the drab green Datsun p/u, that's Bob Boileau. Bob is the facilities manager at PPIR, just south of Colorado Springs. They have a 12 acre autocross lot !!!!!! and he says they have open events all the time. Check in with PPIR, Bob would love to have you guys come down and play at their facility.

Congrats to Kevin Miller on his performance in the Street Machine class win. We have seen Kevin at a few events over the years, and his new fabbed IFS is the real deal. To get a third overall and a class win the first time out with minimal tuning is a big statement, especially against Dan Wieshar in the Hotchkis Challenger. We had our own track battle with Crusher Camaro and the Lakeside Rods crew, I always like racing against them, even if it costs a few zip-ties.

Since Hotchkis doesn't sponsor the autocross, I'm just a regular guy with a Challenger!

Rob, sounds like a good time down at PPIR. I will have to check on there events. Its not that far from me. I loved watching your runs, your truck is awsome.
I agree about a PT event at PPIR. I would be attending it. either with the wagon provided I can get some work done on it. My tires still show the rollover marks. or I could just bring the Focus.

PPIR has an event of some sort every almost every weekend, however, I don't think most of them qualify as a show up and run what you brung autocross. Most are specific club dates, SCCA events, or driving experience days. Now if the BMW, Porsche, or Vette clubs don't mind us dragging our old heaps out, then there may be some opportunities.

Willie B from KBPI radio station in Denver just ran at PPIR on Saturday afternoon, and was talking on FB about maybe trying to set something up out there some time... I'm running out at High Plains Raceway on the 23rd for a roadcourse event KBPI set up. Discounted pricing on a full day of lapping. Be nice if he could get something set up.

The station still rocks! Willie B has done a lot of great things for us CO gear heads. Organized an awesome car show with grudge match drag racing, road course events, charity cruises, and weekly meets. He was a Co-host on PINKS, now on Car Fix on Speed, and I guess something that may be starting on Velocity here soon.
