OK, it's almost time again. My truck is torn down for some minor upgrades/maintanace, but we'll be ready in the spring. I know we'll be at Del-Mar and P-town, and hope to go to Texas and Columbus. Maybe I can make Nashville, I can leverage some Drifters BBQ with Tina. A freind of mine is building an LS powered S10 and should make some of the Super Sundays - it should be fun to watch. How about everyone else? Are you getting ready?

I'm with you Rob, my camaro is apart, tranmissions out to add the no jump NASCAR sliders, some Anvil panels to reduce the weight(they have to be painted), new Fuel system from Holley, Triple adjustable Ridetech Shocks on all four corners, My girls car, is still under construction with a Ridetech 4link in the rear, a killer front suspension, full cage. .. her wagon will be fun to see..hopefully around the middle of the year, no east coast trips for me I was asked to be in the running for Muscle Car of The Year, but I can't swing the east coast trip and race the season and build another car! next year I will do the east coast!

Des Moines and Indy......maybe Charlotte. Fixing some things on the roadster, might put starspecs on the front and see what happens.

Come back to DesMoines, we'll get started earlier and maybe leave before they throw us out.

How was the course at Indy last year? With Kansas gone there is a remote possibility I could make it to a 2nd show either at Indy or maybe Colorado. I wish they made some Star Specs that would fit my front wheels!

Indy wasn't bad last year. far better than the first year. There was a TIGHT like 270* turn that took some getting used to. Indy is a cool show plus, its the Brickyard!

I wish they made starspecs that fit my back wheels.......did you see the ZII yet? The new BFG is coming too, and they should have your sizes.

Have you checked with Ed on the new 10% rule?

"body must be within 10% of original production"

I hadn't seen that new rule yet. Thanks for the heads up! That changes a few things. The rule is vague, but I am guessing that it refers to body dimensions?

Time to get out the measuring tape!

Tyler did you go to the Des Moines GoodGuys event last summer and had tranny problems, lost a few gears or something, if thats your truck I seen that thing and fell in love with it. That truck is a pure beast.

Yeah, that's me. When I tried to grab 3rd gear on Friday it sheered off all the gear teeth. Limped it to a relatives garage, flushed with diesel and used a magnet to retrieve the bits. Ran it hard the next day minus 3rd gear and then drove it home 200 miles on Sunday with the truck class title.

Hey I have a pair of almost new 245/45/18 Star Specs if that helps, I bought them because they were the tallest Start Specs available...

Damn ... that's frickin' impressive! Love your fortitude and congrats on the Truck Class win.

As for me and the orange pile, I've got almost 320 hours of PTO that I have to use in 2013. Hoping to make it to the first Good Guys in Scottsdale and still need to get that Lingenfelter engine swapped for the existing one. Other upgrades are planned as well but can wait.

Kinda like this 10% rule ...

Starting the project on our 65 Nova in two weeks. DSE front/rear suspension, LS w/T56. Planning on debuting the car at the Nova Mini-Nats that we sponsor in Pleasanton, CA on Labor Day. In the mean time I'll be watching the rest of you at the western GG events whenever I can get out of the booth. This is our first endeavor into autocross so I've got a steep learning curve ahead of me. But it will be a fun learning curve!! :-)

Good luck to all of you in 2013!!

I plan on running Nashville, Columbus, and Charlotte. My 68 Mustang has already gone through its full Global West suspension transformation, and the results are just plain ridiculous. I can't even believe it's the same car. Still have to put on the subframe connectors and front sway bar, but it already handles great.
Last night I pulled most of the steering out, and a Steeroids rack & pinion should be in place within the next week or two. SSBC 13"F/11.25"R disks are on their way as well.

I just read this..... Dude! That's just epic Pro-touring right there. My hat is off to you sir!

OK boys and girls, it's on. We're already two in for 2013, with RTTC and the first So Cal Challenge event in the books. Scottsdale is on deck. We're in, and I know a few So Cal locals are heading out to Az along with us. With the new rules, pro drivers class, and 10 grand on the line at the end of the season, I expect to see the fast crew out in force.

Yesir re, I picked a good year to go racing. I will be heading out to Scottsdale also (most likely carravaning with you Rob). For all the locals that want a quick road trip... this is it. Join the fun. If driving 400 miles is not your cup of tea, then Don't forget about the other 4 So Cal Challenges scheduled.

Locked and loaded for Scottsdale. Fuel issue fixed. Next I'm gonna go outside and sacrifice a mopar badge to the gods of fair weather. (sorry Dan) For my Ca autocross kin, yes, even those from the north, Filmore, and I'll throw in the Jasper clan, Tina will be hosting lunch for all on saturday at our motorhome.
