Auto to manual conversion 71 A body wagon? what clutch linkage to use?

I am looking at the possibility of a manual transmission conversion in my 71 Sportwagon. I am wondering what clutch linkage I should use. I am not looking to go factory z bar set up. What other can I use? Cable, hydraulic, or???
