Wondering if anyone knows of a donor vehicle that has an aluminum driveshaft i could use on my Nova.Powerglide and 10 bolt car. I know 98-02 LS1 Cars. Newer Silverados are aluminum but 5" diameter. Thanks. Brandon

The LS1 cars would be too short for your Nova, trucks are too long and too wide as you found already. Why not just buy a new one, it would be the right length and diameter for your needs. Plenty of places out there with them.

That would be fine if it was a V8 car, this is just a 6 cylinder with a powerglide. Just trying to lose some weight for not alot of money.

Thanks, i saw that during some of my research, i believe they are like 34" . Still too short...... I also saw 2wd Trailblazers have an aluminum driveshaft , but not sure on length.

Looks like the Trailblazer 2WD driveshaft is 51" long (113" wheelbase model). Seems to be quite a few on ebay.

What length do you need? I have a ford motorsports Alum driveshaft in the Camaro. Its 45.5" Center U to Center U.
