well tonight I realized that the adjusters on my front vari-shocks were broken off. Don't exactly know why yet.

Since these are now worthless I want to get front coil overs and eventually rear ones. I was at RTMC and talked to both the guys at DSE and Ride Tech about their products. Both have excellent products so I am torn on what to buy.

What do you all think...DSE or Ride Tech for coil overs? If you don't want to make a post up feel free to pm me with your thoughts. :box:

or....what other variations are out there for front suspensions on a gbody?

Ridetech is the way to go in my opinion. We have the on the front of my Dad's 64 Nova and it was a night and day difference after we installed them.

Speedtech now has our G body full front and rear installed on my GN right now just waiting for a couple parts from Baer Brakes to finish it off,
We are using Ridetech Coil overs, Speedtech tubular uppers and lowers with Caster 5 degrees total built into BOTH uppers and lowers,to reduce the tire contact on the rear frame Hi Clearance arms, I have 18 x 9 with 6" BS and 275 on the FRONT also using the AFX spindle which it THE BEST part you can add to a G Body PERIOD!!
It is the only part available that really improves the geometry. also have a front chassis X member / steering box brace the rear has coil overs and Articulink upper and lower trailing arms adjustable sway bar and i manages to fit 18 x 9.5 with a 295 with only minor wheel well trimming. the ride heigth is sick the geometry is the best you can get.
give us a couple weeks to do some testing and post up some pics.

Dude.......I want that set up!! When you put up pics be sure to notify me.

I have the SC&C Stage 2 plus kit up front. I also got the SPC lower control arms that have the drop spring cup. My springs are MOOG 5660 units with the deceased vari-shocks. I have a 36mm hollow front sway bar. Some people are telling me that the drop spring cups might have caused the adjuster to hit the springs...I dunno. I got those lower control arms b/c I didnt want to run a drop spring. I have stock spindles that came with my Baer T4 kit. You can see my build in the project section...under "Project Sicmonte"

What do you think??
