I was wondering if anyone had the current number for wayne due, or some way to get information about his subframes like installtion manuals or other literature for the 69 Camaro Front Clip. I have some cracks developing where the upper a-arm/coil over mount is welded to the frame.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cassidy

Can you post some pics of the cracks? I have one still bare, and wouldn't mind reinforcing it before powdercoating to make sure I won't have that problem down the road

Cassidy, do you have the C5 or C4 version?

What spring length and #'s are you using?

Cassidy, are you using this car for drag racing? I have heard and seen cracks like these that were created from getting the front wheels in the air and coming down with hard landings.

No sir, not drag racing. This was just noticed as I took all my wheels off and gave them the old power ball treatment. The suspension is the C4 model and will try and get some pictures of the cracks today. I will also figure out what springs are in the car.
Thanks fellas,
Cassidy

Anyone? Don't think this is normal?

No, its not normal but i have seen it before. The gusset meets on the edge of a cut and pinch weld that is there to add spring clearence. You can grind it out and reweld it then add a longer gusset. Then double check your shocks to make sure they are not bottoming out.
