Who is going to the Goodguys largest West Coast Event?

Here is some info on what is going on during the week.

The Goodguys summer time “Crown Jewel” - the West Coast Nationals returns home to the Pleasanton Fairgrounds this weekend for the 25th year bringing over 3,500 rods, customs, classics and muscle cars from around the world! The West Coast Nationals is the largest participant automotive event in the Western United States and offers attendees the world’s finest American hot rods, customs, classic cars, muscle cars and trucks through 1972 vintage!

All of the event’s traditions are cherished. Starting on Monday, Hot Rod Week takes rodders on four days of guided tours in and around the Bay Area to various collections, hot rod shops, museums and other cool points of interest. Friday’s Shade Tree Social hosted by the Danville Dukes offers wieners and fellowship in the fairgrounds picnic area. A spectacular array of vendor exhibits, special parking areas, a giant Goodgals Gallery (arts & crafts), kids games, seminars, the crowning of America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod and over one hundred other specialty awards like the Stroker McGurk, Billy B Memorial and Best Bitchin’ plus many others are offered.

A special ‘Saturday Night Gala” will commemorate the event’s 25th birthday August 27th at the main stage. The festivities begin at 5pm with live music, followed by a memorabilia contest, America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod ceremony, a “Nitro Thunderfest” (vintage top fuel dragsters and altereds) and a spectacular fireworks display after dark.

The “Western Model Engine Exposition” – a special exhibit of over 100 model engines will be held inside the Agricultural building. Model engine will be coming in from all over the world for the exhibit. Tether Cars and Valve Cover races also make their return to the West Coast Nationals this year.

All this plus free 25th West Coast Nationals caps to all registered participants! Don’t miss the Goodguys “Crown Jewel” this weekend at the Fairgrounds in Pleasanton! For more, visit www.ggwestcoastnats.com (http://www.ggwestcoastnats.com/)

I had a great time on Saturday. Lot's of cars and great weather. This would be a great show for an autocross. We could fit in the last spot you used. Just think of the crowd you would have with an autocross at that show!

Here is my car sitting under the trees taking a day off.
