For the last couple of years we have been collecting vehicle weight data in conjunction with our new coilover shock product line. http://www.ridetech.com/info/2011/08/new-vehicle-weight-database/

I thought you guys might find this information relevant. Now you know the extent of the work we continue to go to to refine our product lines. We will be adding weights to this database on an ongoing basis.

Larry...this might be a good candidate for a sticky in this suspension section...?

Bret, this is awesome! I was wondering if this info would be available to us or if I would have to call Darren and beg for info....

Thanks again

Line #3, first tab lists a 1934 Corvette? What'd they do, graft an old vette to an older chasis?

What?!?! No Maverick? Not only can I not get parts for it but it doesnt even make it into the database. LOL

Nice work though.

Any details on the weights? Full tank of gas, all fluids full, ready to drive, etc.

Just curious, because I had my Nova weighed and it was 3,232, and I had roughly 1/2 tank.

All of these cars had to drive to our booth to get weighed, but no idea what the actual fuel level was.

We just updated the website again since weighing cars again at Ft. Worth GoodGuys show. We've now weighed almost 400 cars this summer!

Since we will have the rig out west already for SEMA, we are considering setting up shop at the last 3 Goodguys shows of the year (Pleasanton, Scottsdale and DelMar). Any of you guys on the left coast interested in getting your car weighed?

I wish I would have thought of it when you weighed the car here at Lonestar GG but it wouldnt take much to go ahead and find the Center of Gravity at the same time. Just raise the rear of the car up while on the scales and calculate.

Not mine but maybe this helps someone.
My 2003 S-10 regular cab with a stepside weighs about 3050 lbs. I have a 50-70 lbs tonneus cover on the back, so you could probably subtract a bit from that total. Here's a simple diagram with the corner weights and info when I had it corner scaled.

Ridetech has a whole new list of vehicle weights from the latest goodguys shows. Below is an image of all the weights. Though it might be easier to search and sort the weights online at: http://www.ridetech.com/tech/coiltech-2/ (http://www.ridetech.com/tech/coiltech-2/)

Ha opps, totally missed your weight after sorting through the files the first time. Here's your weight without the driver:

And something much more interested to look at :) The new truck looks great.

Anybody know anything about the 3060 pound Camaro at the 2012 Del Mar Goodguys? Curious how it was put together, and how complete a car it was.

So I noticed that the 1974 camaro was discriminated against in your list, lol! I think mine is roughly around 3600 lbs with the 350 sbc and th350, not sure on the exact though.

How about a 81 Camaro CP car? This was with steel body panels, fiberglass lift-off hood, lexan windshield, gutted doors, rear floor & trunk floor removed, 8 gal fuel cell, rear mounted battery, 3-link rear suspension, coilovers on all corners. 377 SBC with ST10 transmission. This was the initial weight, I will be adding ballast to get it over the 3050 lb minimum weight for the class. I will post the all the corner weights once I get it there.

Total weight: 2780 lbs

Front: 1544 - 55.5% Rear 1236 - 44.4%

LF: 738 RF: 805 LR: 634 RR: 602

Left side 49.3% Right side 50.5%

My 68 C10 is in the trucks/SUV section. With the 350/TH350 combo, it was at 3,737lbs. with about a 62/38 weight bias. I have an update, though. I just weighed again this past Saturday at Shade of The Past. With the LS1/700R4 combo, it now weighs in at 3591lbs with almost exactly a 60/40 bias. That's still not as good as Rob's C10, but still not too shabby for a stock suspension street truck.

Of course, this is all before my fat butt gets in. lol

Not sure if I am going too far with my weighing or not but when scaling my car I always try to have the gas tank where it normally would be at the track day, sway bars disconnected, and I weigh it with & without me in the car. Doing it this way I get a true measurement of the car by itself and with me in it. I always try to scale my car after each upgrade so I can see the change that upgrade had to the weights of the car.

Here is my first time scaling my car

1986 Buick T-Type
Turbo 6 cyl
2004r trans
stock rear
18" CCW Classic wheels
stock suspension

CAR ONLY!
* Front - 1,953 lbs
* Rear - 1,436 lbs = 3,389 lbs

Same car except with complete DSE suspension

CAR ONLY!

* Front - 1,955 lbs
* Rear - 1,456 lbs = 3,410 lbs

Shortly to come,The new scaling will be done with the addition of BAER track4's up front and BAER SS4's in the rear

What kind of setup did you have on your 65 mustang? Seems kind of light considering a v8 car from factory weighed about 2800 lbs. My 65 fb weighed about 2880, when I weighed it.

Disregard, just saw your build. Still amazed that you were able to get the car that light.

Just another data point-
1967 Camaro - 2999 pounds
~ 1700 front, 1300 rear
Stock all-steel body with front and rear spoilers. Full interior but with race seats (25lbs./side). About 15 gallons in the tank. 38lb. battery in the trunk. Stock 302 small block (iron block and heads, aluminum intake), M21 trans.

http://www.rhoadescamaro.com/build/?p=1866

Will be interesting to see how little fuel it can run on without starvation. If it's down to just a few gallons, then the car could conceivably hit 2900lb. race weight with a lighter battery.
