I've never done it.

But it makes me think about the C5/C6 drive train. I don't know that there is anyway to extend the torque tube on the Vette's drivetrain - isn't the tranny in the back? That would pretty much force the position of the motor in the Camaro, and then would possibly force the seating farther back in the Camaro. You could still move the Vette's front suspension and still stretch the chassis. But I don't know about stretching the drivetrain. You'd have to look at the distance frome the rear wheels to the engine on the Vette to see where the motor would windup in the Camaro body.

Possibly you could do somthing with the torque tube, I don't know.

The ironworks shops have done some work with the torque tube. Not sure, but I am pretty sure they have lengthened one.

It's not a big deal to lengthen or shorten the torque tube although shortening it is obviously easier. Of all of the problems you will run into, this is one of the easier issues...

I can't remember the name of the project but someone was putting a 2nd gen Firebird on a C5. I will try to find it.

My mistake, it was a Camaro, not a Firebird.
