Hello to all.

Having a little bit of a hard time deciding for sure where the Chicane bracket is really meant to be mounted. If I allow it to sit where I seams it should go it looks nothing like the very few pictures I can find of it installed on line:

This would be nice because it would clear my G-Mod lower rear bolt. Angles are all wrong though.

This looks right and is similar to the images I have found online.

But blocks the rear LCA bolt for the G-Mod:

Does anyone have pics of their installation prior to being finished that shows prior to welding or just after? Has anyone used these with the G-Mod?

Thanks

PLEASE NOTE...I am grinding and welding the frame to clean it up prior to powder coating! Damn the person who covered it in undercoating. Takes a long time to get the smell off you after using a torch to soften it up.

If it covers the hole you will need to notch the bracket to clear the bolt head. Use high grade bolts for the UCA. If possible, mock the LCA and shock up before welding to make sure it is going to clear the frame and be centered during travel.

I notice on your GM relocated holes it looks like you have not moved them back "Noramally" they are moved back as well as down, having said that with the added caster built into most upper control arms in reality you do not have to move the hole back. now you have two options, move the bracket forward enought to get the bolt in your existing hole. i would use a socket head cap screw with an allen head. Or move the hole back enough to get the bolt in. using the shock as a guide to line everything up (remove the spring) so you can cycle the suspension and check that it all clears including the spring to sub frame. tack the Chicane bracket in and repeat on the other side. measure twice weld once.
any other issues feel free to give us a call
