So I was sitting in the shop starring at the car and I had a crazy thought... Does the rear stabilizer bar have to mount "forward"? Typically the rear bar is mounted to the axle and is anchored to the chassis "forward" going toward the LCA chassis mount...

What would happen to the chassis dynamics if the rear bar was mounted reversed? Mount the bar to the axle and anchor the ends to the chassis pointing toward the rear... More room back there (on my car) compared to mounting it forward.

Any thoughts?

same function, I've also seen bars mounted to the rear end where on race cars we typically mounted it to the chassis and just had the arms hooked to the rear end (less unsprung weight by mounting the bar to the chassis)

That's what I was thinking, but... Would change the rear roll center? Or is RC based on the control arms only?
