Maybe it's just me, but I find the dark red, and grey background a little "not so optimum".
I've always been a fan of a light background, and a dark font. Like a white, or light color like lightblue for the background, and a dark color like black, or dark blue for the text.
Just a thought. Trying to figure out why I don't like the new site as much.
