I did a search, not too much found for my set up.
I have a 300- 325 hp Pontiac, tko500, and a 12 bolt. I can't decide between a 350 or a 370 gear (or whatever the gm 12 bolts use around those gear sets). It's goin to be a weekend play car, autox, time attacts, and some highway driving. What's the best for doin both?

Hi!
According to 5speedtransmission.com , the starting line ratio would be 9-11.

http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/startlineratio.html

If You go 3.50 gear, starting line ratio = 11.44 with the TKO500.
-"--"--"- 3.73 gear, -"--"--"--"-- = 12.19

Highway driving with 3.50 gear, 5th gear at 70 mph = 2104 rpm. (26.6" tire dia.)
-"--"--"--"--"--"--"- 3.73 gear, 5th gear at 70 mph = 2242 rpm. -"--"--"--

I think 3.08 or 3.25 gear would be a good allround setup for a street car.
It also depends on what tire diameter You have.

I just got word that I'm able to get my hands on a 06 gto t56. With this trans, what rear end gear would you guys recommend with a 26" tire?

2002-2006 , "TUET-2066", Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro 2.97:1 / 2.07:1 / 1.43:1 / 1.00:1 / 0.84:1 / 0.56:1 / rev.2.90:1
input splines 26, output splines 27.

2.97 1st gear "SLR" with 3.42gear = 10.15, HWY driving at 70mph 1732rpm. 6th gear (26" tire dia.)
-"------"-------"------ 3.55 = 10.54, ---"-------"------"-- 1798 rpm.
------------"---------- 3.73 = 11.07 ----------"--------- 1889 rpm.
------------"---------- 3.90 = 11.58 -----------"-------- 1975 rpm.
------------"---------- 4.10 = 12.17 ----------"--------- 2076 rpm.

You may want to change to larger tire dia later.
I think IŽd choose 3.73-3.90 :)
