Just wondering if anyone has tried Spintech Mufflers on street car? I didn't know how they would compare to the 40 series flowmaster that I have now. I'm trying to get away from the rasp that drones in my head if I drive for more than about 3 minutes. Prethanks for any help you may give.

I've installed my Spintechs, but I'm not done with bodywork so have not driven much more than around the block. I like what I hear so far, although I would need to cruise for a while at a steady RPM to know if I love it or hate it. Here's a video (although there's nothing to see, just the sound) of a couple quick revs so you can hear them. It's pretty big, at least 10MB so beware: Click Here (http://www.camarorestoration.com/videos/rumble.mpg)

Man, that thing sounds good. I may try those mufflers. What size are you running?

Im using the large case Spintech's. 3.5" inlet and 3" outlet. No interior resonance at all and its not overly loud until you press hard on the go pedal. I never did like Flowmasters.

I am a spin tech fan. On the link above, the 383 LT1 Z28 (1995) with the spin tech clips is my car. I sold the car last August. The spin tech on there was their "Super stock, Race quiet" muffler 3" in, 3" out (single exhaust:)). My 72 will have spin techs as well, probably the same ones.
